Creating a Love of Lifelong Learning
Our curriculum in Nursery follows the seasons of the year so that children can make links between experiences in their own lives and the learning opportunities in our setting.
We use high quality key books to lead the learning themes and value daily story time. Children are allowed time to get involved, explore and play in a well-organised, stimulating and varied environment.
In line with the Early Years Foundation Stage profile, adults plan for the unique children and their individual needs, following interests and stages of development. Important events and festivals in the children's home lives and community are celebrated throughout the year.
We design our curriculum to prepare children for starting school, striving for confident, happy individuals and secure foundations for learning.
The Lime Trust Nursery Curriculum encourages every child to become confident and motivated individuals who have a love for learning. Our nursery team ensures that we offer every child the opportunity to thrive physically, emotionally and mentally whilst learning through play.
We support children to independently use and apply the skills they are taught within a safe and engaging learning environment, moving the children on to their next steps to ensure that progress is made from each child’s starting point.
Our learning themes below focus on high quality texts throughout the year and offer rich learning experiences through our balance of both child initiated and adult led activities within our vibrant and inviting learning environments.
