Academy Council

Lime Academy Larkswood is governed by an Academy Council who meet four times per year in line with the Lime Trust annual governance planner.

Academy Council Members:

Meghan Woodwards: Meghan joined the Academy Council as a Trust-appointed Governor in September 2021. Meghan is a specialist in financial crime compliance and has worked with a number of companies within the financial sector during her career.  In her current role, she is responsible for maintaining the anti-financial crime programme of a large financial services firm. This role includes conducting risk assessments of the firm, advising staff and ensuring the firm's continued adherence to UK financial crime regulations. Meghan's qualifications include a Bsc (Hons) in Physiology and Pharmacology from UCL and a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering.

Mumtaz Pandor: Mumtaz joined the Academy Council as a Trust-appointed Governor in September 2021. She graduated from King’s College London with a BA (Hons) in Education and holds a Primary Post Graduate Certificate (PGCE) with Mathematics, qualifying as a teacher in 2016. She offers a breadth of teaching experience, having taught across the primary phase from EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in and around London within maintained, voluntary aided, as well as a multi academy trust (MAT). Her leadership roles include Year Group Lead, English Subject Lead, NQT mentor, PGCE student teacher mentor, as well as leading on enrichment projects. She has developed her leadership skills through middle leadership and uses a coaching approach to develop a highly effective team. She is currently completing the National Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL). She also serves as a Research Reviewer at the Chartered College of Teaching, the recognised professional body for teachers. Mumtaz is privileged to be appointed as Vice Chair Governor as she continues to contribute her expertise of the processes involved in driving school improvement. 

Mike Thomas: Mike joined the Academy Council as a Trust-appointed Governor in January 2022. Mike is a School Business Manager in a Waltham Forest maintained secondary school. In this role, is he is responsible for Premises Management, HR, Finance and Health and Safety. He is currently completing the CMDA (Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship).

Hazel Shields: Hazel joined the Academy Council as a Trust-appointed Governor in September 2022.

Stacey McCarthy: Stacey joined the Academy Council as a Trust-appointed Governor in August 2022.

Teneille Dardis: Teneille is a Trust-appointed Governor.

Baiju Naik: Baiju joined the Academy Council as a Parent Governor in January 2022. He works for John Lewis in an operation role, managing up to 200 staff. In addition, he chairs a staff network and has previous governance experience at director level within the company.

Rachael Holland: Rachael is the Trust Staff Rep on the Academy Council. Prior to her current role as Interim Deputy CEO and Director of Education for Lime Trust, Rachael was a Headteacher with the Trust for 3 years. She has over 25 years’ teaching experience, has taught throughout the primary age range, was a SENCO for a number of years, as well as a Local Authority moderator. She successfully managed and led the academisation process at Lime Academy Abbotsmede and the school has seen improvements in outcomes at all key milestones as a result. Her qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Law, PGCE, SENCO accreditation, NPQH and she is currently studying for the NPQEL qualification.

Tim Dennis: Tim is the school Staff Rep on the Academy Council .

(Optional Breakfast Club 7.30am - 8.30am and Afterschool Club 3.30pm - 5.30pm).

We offer paid and non-paid (Government funded hours) places.
